Aye, this movie was bonkers! It was an extremely fun one to watch, and in the horror movie genre, those can be rare to find at times. The story was definitely not headed in the direction I thought it would, so that will always score bonus points, in my opinion.

Hunter Schafer did an excellent job here. But man, she got messed up in the movie! 🤣 🤣 Whoever did the promotion should get a lot of credit. Every time I think of his movie, I can only see Hunter with her bandaged head. 🤣 However, there were a few parts in the movie where her dialogue and speech just felt a bit stiff and awkward. Her character’s age rarely comes into play, but maybe they wanted her to sound awkward like a normal teenager would? 🤷♂️ Whatever the case, that bicycle scene at night was creepy and likely the best in the movie.
Oh, and chalk this one up as another horror movie where it needed to begin with aerial shots of a forest with the actors/actresses/families in a car! 😂 Anyway, Cuckoo is worthy of a rental now that it’s streaming digitally. The run time was around 1 hour and 45 minutes or so, but they actually used it wisely. Not much was wasted. It has a few creepy moments and not a lot of jump scares if you’re into that stuff. However, they made up for it by creating a mysterious and tense atmosphere to round things out.
