Death Whisperer 2 – Movie

·

YOU.HAVE.GOT.TO.BE.KIDDING.ME! After throwing some praise for Death Whisperer, I was excited to go into part two. What did I get in return for my praises? An absolute garbage and disgrace of a follow-up. That’s what. Just what the heck happened here? It seems like it has the same director and the full cast is back to fight off the crazy stalker-ghost lady who somehow wants to destroy the entire family. Well, okay, maybe Yak is doing the majority of the fighting, but the point is, the direction and pacing seem so different from the first. It kinda felt like the first one got the attention of moviegoers, but the director needed to spice things up in part two by having many more gun scenes and, yes, scenes of the lady ghost/spirit/demon to the point of it being comical after a while.

So here in part two, we get a lot more Yak action. Like a lot more. I had pictured a couple of scenarios after the ending of part one, but I didn’t imagine one where he’d spend almost 2/3 of the movie in some forest hunting the demon lady with a shotgun. I had thought that Yad and Yak would team up and do something awesome together to hunt down the evil spirit/demon and get revenge for Yaem’s death. However, I was surprised to see that her role got diminished a lot to the point that she wasn’t even required in the story. She hardly got screen time. I guess she got a nice and easy paycheck for this one?

Snake!
Bro is literally about to FAFO you don’t mess with no snakes!

So, the mysterious lady demon is revealed in part two here, but honestly, I still have no frigging clue what her deal was. It’s made clear, very abundantly clear, that it has something to do with her tongue and how she possesses her victim, but other than that, I didn’t exactly understand why she chose their family. The beginning of the movie showed a little of how things got started, but as the movie went on, I admit I was a bit lost on the why’s. Death Whisperer 2 was not an easy watch for me. It took me about four sittings to get through this two-hour movie, whereas I had no trouble at all with the first one.

Holy piss!
😂 😂 😂

The ending was a bit hilarious if I’m honest about it. For one, I love how all of a sudden, one of the possessors was in possession of some amulet that allowed him to remain hidden in the swamp from the demon lady. Like, okay, where the hell did this amulet come from? Also, remember the big tree thing? Because I do, but I don’t believe they explained what the significance of that was. Maybe they did, but I dozed off a little during that part. Secondly, showing the demon lady too much was just not a good decision, especially during their showdown with her at the end. It was kinda cringe. Also, I had a good laugh when she started looking confused. It felt like watching an episode of Scooby-Doo or something. Anyway, glad this one is over.
