I mean, WTF is this shit. 💩 💩 Quite possibly one of the worst movies I’ve watched so far for 2026. Like, I mean an absolute stinker and complete time waster. It felt like this movie completely missed the window during the zombie craze era. It wouldn’t have altered the fact that the movie is still complete shit, but I’d think at least there would be some sympathizers out there that would have given them some slack for trying to cash in on the zombie mania and hype. But releasing it now when the gravy train has already passed? Mehhhh.

There really isn’t that much to analyze here. There’s a zombie outbreak going on in a small town, we learn our main female MC has to deal with an abusive father, zombie’s attack their house, she bands with a group of other teenagers from high school, they get holed up in the school deciding on what to do next, and, well, yeah, that’s it. So in zombie movies where they don’t spend much or any time, for that matter, discussing just how the plague got started in the first place, it can be assumed that the story focuses more on the characters and the human nature of what people tend to do during outbreaks instead. I think that’s what they were trying to go for here, but the problem is, they are all boring, and the story is just a waste of time. Basically, everything about this movie is a waste of freaking time. Just skip it.

I totally understand that low budget movies can only do so much but I honestly felt they could have done just a little more here to make things at least a bit more fun. The only interesting thing I noticed is that Olivia Holt looks like a young Julia Stiles and Carson MacCormac looks like a young Rider Strong from his Boy Meets World days. 😂
